If the Tulane loss wasn't bad enough, I can only imagine the steam being vented if we lose to both Tulane and USM this year.

The Eagles had a 16-0 lead over UAB at halftime and didn't bother to show up for the second half, losing 27-19. There is a defeatist attitude among the USM players and I'd like to see the Mustangs sap their will early. If we can move the ball consistently on offense their defense will fold up and quit. Running the ball could be a key factor. They have a lousy passing game and no deep threat at all, so I would play to stop their run and the intermediate passing game. Harass their quarterbacks and they'll blow a fuse.

you are absolutely right that we need to jump on them early. My biggest fear is another slow SMU start and suddenly USM remembers that we have never beaten them. Our guys better remember how badly they kicked our arses last year
