Not a big deal to me. Everyone know what Mariano Rivera is throwing and no one can stop him. Sometimes it is all about the execution.

Wish we would have seen that earlier in the season, we'd have definitely beaten TCU and Tulane. Better late than never I suppose, just hope June doesn't forget how well it worked.

One play can have multiple variations. Ask Lombardi about the Packer Sweep. One play with multiple versions.

Who cares if we have just one running play. It has worked well the entire year. This is only Zach's third 1000 yard year and this year he did it running just one play.

Tampa left, Tampa middle Tampa right. good enough to get Line back to back 1000+ yard seasons, likely another this year. stop whining, we do what we do

Way to pay attention the last five years, CalallenStang.

I don't know how many plays Oregon runs, but the offensive explosion that is Oregon football justifies just about anything they do. I don't care if they line up in the Winged T because they score just about every time they get the ball.

In contrast, SMU's offense has looked poor to below average against the good teams on our roster. Beating teams like UTEP, SFA, Memphis, Houston, and USM this year don't impress me.

1) Did SMU move the ball well against Baylor, A&M, or UCF (I give the offense a pass against TCU b/c of the weather)? No
2) Does anyone think SMU can consistently put up points against Big 12/SEC/Big10/Pac10 competition? No

Until sMu starts scoring against everyone, I expect more than one running play to be employed?

BTW - the running plays featuring GG were fantastic. Hopefully, they are a sign that JJ is trying to adapt his system to make it better.

I have been advocating that for awhile now...maybe they really do read Ponyfans.com posts. 8)

if you are going to ask your big guys to run block, give them a chance to fire off the ball

there were a couple of positive signs in this game - hands on ground, better innovation, Fuller and others.

if we can get rid of the jog to the coach, and get a two back formation inside the ten (maybe even with a tight end) then we will be getting somewhere. next year maybe even a hurry up.

lets send June tapes of La Tech and A&M and let him study -up.

On the plus side, our opponents have become complacent about our predictable game plans. The revolutionary QB keeper play had USM reeling.

Now that our Hawaii Bowl chances are on the line, June appears to be cracking open the playbook.

Just keep that Hawaii carrot out in front of June and maybe, just maybe he will improvise his offensive scheme to win games.

Or he could consult his WR coach who used to work at Coog High with Kliff Kingsbury and Dana Holgorsen.

We did use another run play, the zone read. GG ran it very well and almost got to 100 yards. I am hopeful JJ will continue to run the next couple of weeks. Kudos to JJ where kudos are due.
