Or at least his semi-animated corpse.

I like playing A&M to measure our progress. If we play them tight or upset them, we will rise in the Polls, if we are winning other games. Besides, packing Ford is a good thing or play them at Jerry's World.

Sellout crowds for Texas Tech, Baylor, and Boise State will help attendance move in the right direction.

We don't know if we'll get Boise State at home and even if we do we're going to need something like 12,000 of them to come to fill up Ford. Tech and Baylor should come close to selling out though.

Boise State is a brand that will attract local interest. Such a game would not be attended by SMU and Boise State alumni alone, but by unaffiliated parties. Additionally, a relevant opponent will serve to attract those SMU graduates who normally avoid games.
Boise State is a game that is more interesting than the Blvd.

Do we know for sure that Tech is a home game?

Last time Boise played in Dallas there were 12,000 in attendance. They won't significantly increase attendance from Dallas college football fans. That's up to SMU football fans

When we played in 2003-2004, they were only in years 3-4 of Boise's decade rise to prominence and before any of their public BCS wins. One game was during a 0-12 campaign and the other was just after. They'll bring in fans.

The last time Boise played in Dallas was in 2003 before they had done ANYTHING at the FBS level that gave them their name sake that they have now.
I want to say it was raining that day too, but can't remember specifically. I remember the next year we gave them a mini scare for a while up in Boise.

Big East won't bring fans to football games. Only way to do that is to get into the Big 12 or SEC, stop lying to yourself.

Yeah, joining the SEC or Big 12 should happen before Christmas. We are a hot ticket because we are a state school with a huge enrollment, easy academics and control of the Texas media. Why didn't we join one of these two conferences, instead of the Big East. What were we thinking?

The Texas Tech game is at Ford, so you don't want to change that as that game will surely be close to a sell out. This schedule will surely make our coaches realize just how important better recruiting is, and make them want to bring in some recruiters like Klemm again on the staff but with Texas ties.
