I will put the last five years up against any five year period since the day that NCAA investigator fell off of his stool at the press conference announcing the death penalty. I bought a lot of season tickets just to sit through some winless seasons, all in the hope that some day there would be a little light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to a number of people in the administration, on the coaching staff, and those generous enough to write some hefty checks, this football program was not given up for dead. We want championship football at SMU, and Heaven knows there is work to be done and that our coaches aren't perfect. But I am thankful for the fact that we are winning a few games season after season. My biggest disappointment with SMU is that our fans can't seem to find their way into the stadium.

Sorry topper have to disagree. Understand fans (not related to SMU) will not get behind a non-BCS team that can barely beat winning season teams or even less BCS teams. Fans related to SMU that live in Dallas I believe show up. Sure student suck when it comes to staying but that requires us to have a reason to stay. Also, it's petty very petty to blame fans. It's about as sad and effective as yelling at a wall to be a door.

After going to the Tulsa game, I fear that some of the fans are still trying to find a place to park. The Campus has changed so much since I was here last year it is almost too much to take in. Can't wait til it is all done.

Topper, good post sir.
Oh, and don't bother giving compliments. A lot of folks on here wouldn't be happy even if we went undefeated. They need something to complain about.

I'd be stoked if we went undefeated since that means we beat the team that beat Alabama. I would then build JJ a statue for him, since he would actually deserve it. Heck I'd be happy if we didn't lose to Tulane an rice and stayed competitive in our losses. But did we? NOPE. Seriously some of you I worry the mediocre acceptance of our football program means you are mediocre in your life. We should be upset regressing and losing to rice and Tulane and getting pummeled by 2 BCs teams and have to thank God for the hurricane against TCU
