Gilbert has a sonic arm and he whips in there hard but his receivers drop so many of them it slams his stats. He feels like he has to win it by throwing when -- as he aptly demonstrated today -- he can keep the offense going by running. Without that 74-yard TD gallop and some timely sprints earlier, the Mustangs would have lost this game.
I don't want to pile on JJ but he's probably told GG to stay in the pocket and throw and leave the running to Zach. But GG taking off really puts presure on the D.

I know that was the case in the past with Padron, but I think there was a quote from June earlier this year where he actually said he wanted GG to tuck and run instead of put the ball in bad situations...

Looked like JJ might have told him that today.
