it is more important to bash our fans. What few we have left.

According to many SMU fans 6-6 isn't deserving of a bowl game... So the choice goes to the seniors and they will have three times the real football fans in Hawaii (Hawaiians love football, Jones and detest the self serving entitled big money spenders, phony status, egoists.. some of which still hold onto "Rebel" racisit memories)

FU. First school to offer a scholarship to a black player in the SWC. But you wouldn't know that because you would rather worship JJ than know amything about the storied history of our team and school.

The Hawaiians did not fill the stadium the last time we were there. The stadium looked empty. Our fans have been abused with bad football for years. Jones has done nothing to change the dynamic with the fans. Had the genius figured out a way to beat more than 1 team with a winning record per year and actually built in his limited success, there might be more fans that care. Look 40 miles West.

Ah yes, the poor spoiled, rich, egomaniac racists we all are. Something you'd like to get off your chest? Maybe once you climb down that enormous tower you're looking down on us all from.

I was in Hawaii last time and there weren't droves of Hawaii fans there pulling for June ans smu as this thread implies. There were far and away more locals at the compass bowl than were at that Hawaii bowl.

You are a very good example of "Entitled Fan who hates any loss because you think you have already paid for a win".. So you don't support you demand and the less privileged recruits don't like you and anyone who has options will give you the finger which you all deserve...

Treadway was a student athlete at smu jonesdoe. He has firsthand experience as to what it like to be amidst expectations and performing and managing academics etc...far from an "entitled fan"

JonesDoe you know nothing about me or what anyone thinks about.l me. I had to live at home so I could afford to go to school to play for SMU. We only had four scholarship players back then. I don't consider myself entitled, I consider it an honor, a hard earned one, to play at SMU and that is where my loyalties lie.

Just one question for you, do you support SMU or just June Jones? Answer that honestly and we can continue from that point.

I'm still laughing about someone criticizing those who feel entitled and racist and then praising Hawaiians in the same post.

But what do I know, I'm just a 'haole'.

Our priorities, as I see them:

1) National exposure. Which bowl gets us the most?

2) Reward the players.

3) Allow the maximum number of fans to travel to the bowl.

.
.
.

1,343) Tick off June Jones and cut off our nose to spite our face.

BTW, I voted to play MSU in Dallas. Not sure if that's truly an option, but seems to me that gets us 1 and 3 above.

Heart of Dallas Bowl does not have a CUSA tie-in this year. Sorry.

I am very proud to say we are in a bowl. Ask an Arkyland fan (who honestly believed before the ULM game that the Beloved Razorbacks were going to play for the national championship) how a sub .500 season feels.

I hope the kids get to go to the bowl that rewards them the most.

Yeah what a joke. We travelled well to Birmingham and that's not a cupcake drive. Hawaii means that only single or newly weds will go to that game. Anyone with children or older married couple will stay here. Having a desire to go there kills the small but loyal fan base. If we have a shot at our old home stadium then why not go there!

How is not traveling to Hawaii make you less of a fan? I'm at every home game with a Blvd spot. Travel or at least buy tix and give them away to those who can. I don't care where they play this year. If its Hawaii then ill be watching on the couch. And I'll sleep knowing good and well that I do all I can for this team everyday.
