I saw it late in the game and it was Red.

Told my wife, who was working on a document for work, to look at the SMU Pony on the TV. She looked up and said, "Isn't that the red Pegasus?"

OUCH!!

Or you could calldown there - ask for the manager and thank them in person - 214-244-6664
Or you could thank Robert Rowling who owns the Omni Hotel chain and is a graduate of SMU Law School.

That was awesome, but I think it was definitely old footage...I was staring at the omni out of my window while watching the game last night, and it didn't once display a pony that I saw.

I tweeted out that picture as soon as I saw that on Sunday Night Football, but in actuality i think it was old footage. A friend pointed out that they had footage of St. Louis for a game this year that showed a display of Albert Pujols.

Awesome that the arial footage with the Pony got used though!

It was probably from Friday night. One of my wife's co-workers sent us a picture of the hotel when he was downtown.

You have to excuse me, I just took three final exams this morning and started my drinking early, I'm a little fired up at the moment!

I'm assuming most people watching the game just saw a giant red horse and had no idea that it was a SMU Mustang. Too bad, but I think people's reactions would be, "Why the hell is there a giant horse on that building?"

I have friends in Alabama, Georgia, and Chicago that noticed it and knew exactly what it was - got text messages last night. So yes, a lot people knew it was SMU.

I think the logo is pretty iconic if you have a pretty general knowledge of college football/sports. I've seen several people see Mustang logo's of high schools associate it with SMU. The more national exposure we get the more it will continue to be recognized.
