From the looks of it on the field, I think we only have half a band in the first place.

I would also think it quite awkward to choose who gets to go. The seniors have been once, underclassmen may get no shot. I think this blows.

I seem to have misplaced R. Gerald Turner's email address. Could somebody post it... please. Hart's, too.

Visit the band hall and you'll see why the number is small. My apartment is bigger.

And unless they do something unprecedented, this will be a pep band that does not march. Again, this blows.
As for the size of the band, 96 guys and a doll was the standard back in the day. It's not about size, it IS about quality. And yes, a new band hall would help recruiting new members much more so than seeing the impish cave under the Perkins Natatorium Pool.

AD Rick Hart has just denied the rumors about the Mustang Band -- the problem is with the available seats on the airlines and the logistics and not SMU resources. He reiterated that SMU and president Turner were working to resolve the problem.

Phone calls and dollar bill handshakes. It can be done.

It is never over till we say it is over. last time it was quite late before the band arrangements were made. For the Band Hall, maybe we can get Verizon to be the lead donar. Then they can call it "The SMU Can You Hear Me Now Band Hall"

I guarantee they can hear the Mustang Band.

Heard from a reliable source that the pom squad will only take half of their girls. At least SMU is being consistent with their cheapness...

You think that will stop the complaints?

How did they decide which band members are going? It is a bit of a chicken$hit move on the schools part.

I just wanted to share the comments from AD Rick Hart. I trust the man and know he is working on a solution. And, as one who once kissed Peruna's arse in a barn years ago, my heart is with the Mustang Band. I contacted AD Hart to express concerns.
