I agree. They will at least interview Kingsberry, there might be some pressure to give him the job. You think it's tough being the HC at SMU? Try making Sand Aggies happy. Many think their program is one of he best in the Big 12 and in college football.

Some jokes are not worth losing friendships over.

Comet, it would not surprise me if JJ is interviewed for the job. I'm not saying it is going to happen, but it would not surprise me.

You know Mike Leach is having a good laugh over this one.

I welcome Tech's return to irrelevance!

Anyone deeply associated with college football should be able to see right through Jones. I can't see Tech even giving him an interview.

Yeah, JJ'd be a perfect fit as a coach with Texas ties...oh, wait.

It seems like Tech is going to go hard for Briles

Why would anyone move from Waco to Lubbock? Waco isn't great, but it is short drive from Austin and Dallas. Plus, I don't think Tech benefits from the "Big State School" aura in the way that UT and TAMU do.

Well hopefully Tech's search for a new hc takes a while. The longer they spend finding a coach, the less time they have to prepare for their 2013 season opener (aka us)

Briles graduated from Tech but he also played three years at U of Houston.
