Would've liked Kingsbury though

How is JJ staying here to be considered "working out" for us?

Haven't you heard, he's led us to 4 straight bowls and no one else will want the job if he leaves/is fired. Plus he's one of the best talent evaluators in college football with his many NFL-caliber players produced. Honestly for what he's done for us he's vastly underpaid.

JJ has brought us out of the depths to respectability. It appears his work is over and we need to move on this year or next.

At this point, I think we should be ecstatic if JJ stays. My reasoning is that all named coaching candidates have taken positions. I fear the case of JJ leaving and we get stuck with a Paul Wulf as the best we can do.

That's nothing to worry about, next coaching carousel will have some new up and comers to get excited about. The only way we get stuck with a Paul Wulff is if we start paying our coaches in Chili's coupons.

Not really. Whoever is left over from Kingsbury or Chad Morris would work fine here in my opinion.

How many times has JJ's name been associated with any of the openings this year?

I would think that someone who could win at SMU, get the program to 4 straight bowls, and get players to the NFL would be mentioned somewhere.

We know he was mentioned at Maryland two years ago and of course ASU last year.

Has he lost his luster amongst the AD community? Why the silence this year? I'd think he'd be a hot commodity.

IMO most ADs don't want a coach who recruits for another school while he is still employed by them.

If we can forgive and forget, surely that lesson can be taught to others in the AD community. It's the season of giving and charity, after all.

June is 59, has a losing record at his current job and makes 2.3 million dollars a year. Isn't it obvious why no BCS schools want him?

Maybe due to the ASU fiasco, if anyone has contacted JJ it has been kept very quiet.

I was at McDonald's today. The guy who took my order only took five years to graduate from Tech and is a real insider. He thinks KK will get hired.

For him to be able to do that makes me think the man is pretty damn smart. Could you pull that off? Give him an extension along with his bowl incentive bonu$.
