the problem we come up against when we play Big 12 teams is that they have better athletes across the roster. Fresno has them here and there but its like trying to compete with a team filled with 1-2 round draft choices when you have 6-8th round draft choices but its time we step up at home

What about Tulane and Rice. Fresno much more talented than those teams. Talent difference doesn't explain those losses. Motivation may, though.

Thats part of coaching....get them ready for EVERY damn game and put the crappy teams away early and show no mercy. A good coach is consistant and should never lose to those lower rung teams.

SO agree with this. I know there's EXTRA motivation to win a bowl game, especially Hawaii for JJ. But being unmotivated with that salary and the potential of this program and these kids should have you wanting to play like it's the super bowl every week!
