Big East is much better. Remember that several of the current MWC members left us in the WAC after an underhanded deal to break away to form the MWC in 1999. Not so much as any forwarding or discussion on their action. They are scum bags and will do it again.

I imagine the sweetheart deal the MWC gave them is more money than their football-only piece would have been from the BIG EAST so I can see where it makes sense for them.

As far as the all-sports schools (SMU, Houston, Memphis, UCF) I still don't see how the MWC even gets a thought.

Boise made the move to get what they could now because they aren't a player in the end game. The only reason they had interest from the BE to begin with was BCS points, and those just don't matter at all anymore.

I really haven't performed this exercise, but if you assume that more often than not, the highest rated non-aq team will come from the best football conference, then I think you want to be in that conference. Take the best remaining non-aq teams and create a conference-does that imaginary conference look more like the MWC or the BE?

I am not sure it is the Big East.

This is the correct answer. Interesting that there is a ton of hand wringing about where SMU and Houston are going to go amongst media and others. Big East or MWC? That really speaks volumes to our relevance.
