Mason's defense played almost twice the number of plays in a number of games, as compared to other teams. I was told in the Tulsa game we literally played two defensive games ( I haven't looked it up). But his defensive backfield was playing on fumes (due to injury and depth) almost all year.

We tried to cancel the A&M game and they refused so Baylor was our only option.

As far as TTU 'a new coach--he has already proven an embarrassment to the school and himself in the media--sure glad we didn't have the opportunity to go after him--I'm sure he will be a big hit in Lubbock where entertainment includes cow tipping.

Any idea as to win this might happen? 5 years in and we haven't beaten a big name school yet..........

What was TCU ranked last year (2011) when we beat them?

Then what's the scoop on Kingsbury?
I thought he was viewed as something of a favorite son, coming back home.

Who knows what goes on MexMustang's crazy conspiracy ridden mind. There isn't a single message board in Texas talking about anything

I'm excited about the defensive recruits we're bringing in this year. Zelt Minor is a stud and between the 36 DBs we signed we should be able to find a few quality starters in there. Pony Up

Hilltopper wrote:Not quite as long as your Recruiting Roundup, but fantastic work nonetheless. After reading Mason's comments (and learning about schools going after our guys late), I'm liking the class more and more.

When teams can't get the 1st or 2nd guy they are going after late in the year they usually start going down the board to full the spot. So late offers are not necessarily good or bad. We just have to see how things play out with the class as a whole. I think the 2014 will be better.
