I actually like when I see SMU athletes out and about. I once saw a couple of football players at a Stars game, but didn't approach them. I did point them out to my nephew, however, and he marched straight up and asked for autographs. They loved it. I kind of wish more PonyFans went out of their way to let the Mustangs know how much we appreciate what they do for us.

Kids asking college athletes for an autograph is one thing, grown men gushing and getting riled up comes off as weird...

If that's the case, what's the NFL future for this kid? Will a team look at him and think "winner, an athlete who can make plays" or just "undisciplined (on and off the field, based on some of the rumors) guy with average throwing arm, slow release, etc."
Can he play in the pros? I say no.

Maybe if he goes pro if not QB maybe DB or slot receiver.
