Cinci is home to Great American Insurance. I bet we can get them to sponsor...The Great American Athletic Conference.

If it's all about money now, why not just sell naming rights to a company that has a name that is solid (not just to the highest bidder). There are several airlines that have decent names that don't depend on geography -- United, American, Spirit. Some insurance companies would work -- Nationwide, United Healthcare, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, Transamerica. Citigroup would work.
Big Pharma would pay millions for "The Low T Conference"

With all the city member schools, how about the "Fairly Urban Conference?"

Why not sell the naming rights to the conference?

Fedex Conference
Coca Cola Conference
Exxon Conference
Budweiser Conference

It might be worth a couple of million bucks.

I would not hesitate to add Omaha (Creighton), Indianapolis (Butler) and Richmond (VCU), plus our likely 11th FB team, Tulsa. They are BB with good non-revenue sports in good size cities.

As for the name, Your Metropolitan Colleges of America (YMCA).

By the way, the FEDEX Conference is actually a great idea. A good brand which travels well. Implies Federation and "pony" EXPRESS.

I say we call ourselves "Big 10" and then argue with the other B1G about how to properly count.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone come in for Bball with Navy...VCU, Wichita St. etc. Plus I do think Tulsa will get a bid for 2014 or 15. I kind of like the METRO CONF. idea, better than something new.

Yeah, I see no problem adding strong bball programs that don't sponsor football. They'll want to play with UConn, Memphis, Cincy, and Temple.

By the way, UConn must be [deleted] themselves over realignment. Good lord did they get screwed

Not as bad as Cincinnati for FB and BB.
