We've got a lot of young guys that will get their opportunity. I've also heard that Nabushoshi is going to be a special player for us. Zelt Minor and Mason Gentry will also get a chance to play up front starting with fall practice.
Gentry will for sure Red Shirt. Minor will find himself on the field real quick, probably both DE and NT

Yes, and every team graduates players. What I like to hear in year 6 is "we are inexperienced, but the young players are better than the ones who left. After they get their feet wet, we are going to be fine", which is a message consistently coming from Jones and Mason since the end of last season.

So does that mean in year 7 we might finally be able to strive for that 10+ win season provided we get out of playing too many teams from power conferences? Although in all likelihood we will be starting another new QB with limited experience since GG will be gone.

Sure, provided we "steal a few on the road". We still aren't good enough to beat our opponents because we are better, you know...

March 26th ESPN Interview by Andrea Adelson:
"SMU opens spring practice today with lots of holes to fill on both offense and defense. I had a chance to catch up with coach June Jones to ask him about some of the biggest questions surrounding his team."

Join me XC as we hit the board running.
I see that you posted on the page as viewable through Harry's link, but the real smack talk is on the page that is viewable from the Big East blog:

I think I got it now. The fun usually is happening on the top blog post.

I totally agree with this. I question Thompson's competitiveness. No reason we can't rotate in 2-3 deep across the board in WRs especially early in the year and then settle on a rotation based on performance, competitiveness, toughness. I liked what I saw out of Joseph last year. Holman and Holleman certainly look the part, but they have yet to show me anything. Stewart could be special and then don't forget about Gaines and Taylor. I don't think either redshirt but who knows.

June getting old and mixing up his years. Hawaii was predicted to finish 1st (not last) in the WAC in 2007. I believe he meant the 2002 season.
