Can't be any worse than the Spring Game i went to for Ohio State this past Saturday in Cincinnati. It was about as fun as the first pre season game in pro football. The starters played about 10 plays then it was turned over to the lower part of the roster who were trying to impress the coaches. At least it was a nice day.

I would be there if the "practice" was in Ford. No point going to the practice field where there is no way I can see anything or tell really what is going on . A waste of a Saturday morning.

Mustang: I told them they should have cleared all of this with you. If they had known that you would be wasting your time, I'm sure other arrangements would have been made. "whatever"

so were are going to make all our grey-haired fans stand for hours in the sun to watch catch-and-throw and punt cover drills? it may make the event more intimate but I think it's going to cut into the fans that will attend. plus, that pretty much kills the rumor that there is going to be beer concessions...lame. I was going to take my wife's grandfather who has fond memories of SMU to the Spring Game but I guess not anymore.

If it's really at Pettus it's going to look terrible on TV.

Ha. I know it's not live on ESPN or anything, but I assume there will be some sort of highlights package on FSSW or some sort of special put together by the new conference that will run on the various regional sports networks over the coming weeks.

At the very least we will have some coverage by the local stations, and if they are billing it as "SMU's Spring Game" it might look kind of pathetic on a practice field. That's all I meant.

Technically, Ford Stadium is under construction, so perhaps it's closed to the general public.
