June seemed pretty high on him in his recent interview. Looking forward to seeing him out there this season.

DMN & Sports Network apparently think he never made it to SMU...

http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com ... line.html/

SMU will be entering a new conference without its workhorse back.

As a Sports Network story pointed out, Line "was the definition of a workhorse, responsible for 277 of 304 total carries." Line will now turn his attention to the NFL Draft, hoping someone will select him this week.

The Sports Network described SMU’s new backfield as "unseasoned and untested," with Rishaad Wimbley appearing to be the most likely candidate to take over the starting role. He has just 50 carries so far in his two-year career. Another possibility for an eventual starting job is Prescott Line, the younger brother of Zach.

Very amateur on the part of the DMN to print this story. I've sent an email to the author to correct his understanding.

you shouldn't blame the DMN for this omission; after all, there must have been an intramural women's volleyball tournament going on down at UT that demanded most of their attention....

The author said he's just an "aggregator" of news so he just reports what other sources are saying rather than coming up with original content. He did thank me for the corrected info re Rishaad moving to LB, Shead taking the lead spot and PLine backing up.

Yeesh, it's like pulling teeth.

"...or Traylon Shead."

Might as well take the extra 5 1/2 seconds and list he was a Parade HS All American, JUCO All American, and slap a quote from June in there about his beast spring.

But then it would seem like the DMN actually gave a [deleted] about SMU. They couldn't possibly do that! All the aggies and bevos would get riled up.

The author seems like a worthless piece of sludge. He can't even do his own reseach. What a boner

Here was my email:
While I enjoyed seeing the update in the Dallas Morning News, I'd like to give you an update. Rishaad Wimbley has been moved to linebacker per his request because the position has been locked down by former Rivals four star running back Traylon Shead. Shead originally played for Texas, but went the JUCO route before transferring to SMU.

Zach Line's brother Prescott looks to be Shead's backup.
And here was the author's reply:
We do more aggregation on this site, so we report what other places are saying more than coming up with original content. But I'll add something about that. Thanks for the heads up.
So he apparently did his update just based on my email to him, but didn't seem convinced that Shead had the position locked down. Scrolling a couple of articles down the SMU page on the online DMN, though, would have given him this nugget of wisdom:
