I'm with you on this one. I can see the IPF as one of those "we have the big-time facilities" type of investments, but in terms of preparing players for the conditions they will actually experience in a game, don't you think it hurts more than helps? First few games are going to be hotter than hell; better be ready for it rather than practice in an air-conditioned indoor facility. We complained last year at the TCU game that our guys weren't prepared to play in the cold and rain. What better way to do that than to actually practice in the cold and rain?

"Come to SMU! Practice in the dust, wind and rain just like Doak and Gregg did!"
^^^Recruiting Epic Fail^^^
Those days and that kind of kid are long gone. Got to keep up with the Joneses or be left behind.

This logic makes no sense. Practice was cancelled. Has nothing to do with where we play/what conditions we practice in. It has more to do with us missing reps while our competition is practicing

Yeah, having an IPF hurts more than it helps. That's why Alabama, Notre Dame, LSU, Texas, USC, Ohio State, and Michigan don't have one.
