Pete was working for an investment company in town right after the Army bowl. He participated in pro-day and the Rams called and were interested, but Pete was committed to his job. His employer told him not to pass up a once in a lifetime opp … his job would be waiting for him if it did not work out. Pete made it to the final cut. I saw Pete this year two weeks before the Hawaii bowl. He was in a suite and headed to lunch to meet a client. He looked good and seemed really happy. He also came to the Baylor and A&M games this year. As a side note; Chase Kennemer is getting married this summer to PGA golfer Kenny Perry’s daughter. Chase is working for his dads auto business.

Would love it even more if his hometown was identified correctly (Sugar LAND, not Sugar LANE) ... but very cool, nonetheless.

Thanks for the detailed update. Glad that he is content with how things have worked out.

I miss #52. Was a great player for us. Glad he's doing well. Goes to show the importance of a good education. I really would have liked to see him playing, though.

I think Banjo has a chance to stick in Jacksonville.
It doesn't look like they have a lot of other safeties on the roster:
Antwon Blake is a small CB from UTEP who played some safety last year
Alan Ball played some safety (badly) for the Cowboys
I know nothing about Dwight Lowery
They have someone from Wyoming named Chris Prosinski
So Banjo makes 5 ... 4, if Blake sticks at CB. They could draft another safety and/or sign one through free agency, but it sure looks like he'll have a chance to make the roster. Anyone know how many safeties they normally carry?
