I think you'll be sorely mistaken on this point. It is tough to take a first round flyer on a guy who was relatively invisible at times in college, but he's athleticism combined with his maturity and hard working nature -- plus his ability to play up on the bigger stage (see bowl games) -- is going to translate to a really nice NFL career. Looking forward to following his continued progress at the next level.

I got nothing but respect for the guy and I certainly could be wrong. Feel free to throw this back in my face in a few years if warranted....

No, I appreciate the opinion and know where you're coming from. I'll just have you buy me a beer when it happens.

Hold me to it. I think it will be very interesting to see how he performs.

I'm bummed that the 49ers traded away their 34th pick. I was really hoping that Margus would go there

I have been thinking much like ReedFrawg and have been begging to be shown wrong.

You could watch regular season tapes and think he's 2-3 years away but he's Superman in the Bowls(against some pretty questionable OTs-especially that Pitt kid they threw in for his first start was awful. He was invisible against A&M

I'm torn, on one hand I'd like him to get drafted as high as possible. On the other, I would absolutely love him to fall to the Texans, but they wouldn't take him until the later rounds of the draft.

Good SMU legacy in Cincinnati with Forrest Gregg at least.

Draft coverage on both networks is just ridiculous and borderline unwatchable, which is really a shame.

Of course I missed it. What a bummer. I walked out of the room to get something for my son, and didn't realize that ESPN was switching to the NBA playoff and switched to ESPN 2 and caught the last 15 seconds of the pick - should of been watching the NFL Network.

BTW - what the F is all the love for Manti Teo, the slowest linebacker in the draft. Heck, I think Line is a better linebacker than Teo and he hasn't played the position in years. If you cannot tell I hate ND.
