I like it OK, but I'm amused by the fact that the star is falling. Fits the mood on this board nicely :)

Rutgers won't be displaying the logo on any of their fields/ court for the upcoming year.

And Rutgers competance and class strikes again!

The okay is okay, but I think they could and should have done more with it. It is a little generic looking.

We should have our players slap an AAC logo sticker on the opposing Rutgers player's helmet every time we tackle or sack one of them.

"Our current plans are not to display any (conference) logo until we proudly display the Big Ten logo in 2014," Kirschner said. smh.

Since every is being branded around the big A, should we just start refering to the conference as "The A" for shorthand like the do with the B1G? or just a simple "A"? I'm not going to bother byping out The American everytime, but since AAC and ACC are really close.... just kind of thinking out my as*

Sde note - I don't think there is a good solution really

Very average and not interesting or exciting. Surely, a good advertising person could have done better and been more creative.

The American Athletic Conference finally unveiled its new logo Thursday, drawing positive reviews from many.

Matt and I give the logo two thumbs up, too.

I gotta give the league credit for coming up with a snazzy logo as it begins to re-brand and re-market itself as it moves toward officially becoming known as "The American" on July 1. This league has taken a pounding at just about every turn along the way, from questions over proposed names (America 12?), to the actual shortened name it wants used (The American?).

The league has gotten the logo right. And it has been nice to see national media pundits and fans of the league dole out some praise considering all that has happened over the past two years. The logo is meant to serve as a new beginning, a fresh start, so everyone can move forward.

The way things are going for Rutgers right now, we should be happy they're not going to display it.

If we go with this shorthand, and Rutgers refuses to use it, does that make them the A-hole?
