Has Mack Brown done anything in the past four years to make you think he can put together a conference champion? Yes they're loaded with talent, they always are, but they squander talent better than anyone in the nation not named Clemson.
Stick a fork in Mack, he's been done ever since Colt got hurt in the Alabama game in 2010

COACHING DOES MATTER

he managed to win more games than June Jones in most every year of his career playing in a real conference. He has won 10+ in 12 different years-not too many active coaches-if any, can claim that. 192 consecutive weeks of coaching a team in the Top 25 from 1998-2010 ain't bad. Texas had one of the youngest teams in the country last year with only 3 starting Seniors and they won 9 games in a conference with 10 bowl bids-17 in the last 2 years-not as bad as portrayed by some. They are more experienced across the board. The real problem came when he transitioned his offense to be a more power oriented team a few years ago. Combined with underclassmen at QB and RB it resulted in a dry spell-but those weaknesses are now strength. We'll see but I think its a good bet UT wins 10-11 games this year

we will have accomplished a near miracle if we go 6-0 in Ford this year. Do that and we will finish a lot better than 7-5

7-5 could put us in a BCS game if we have the best record in the conference. I think it is possible.

This is the case, I'm afraid. I'd be pleased with 7-5 but just pleased.

- Part of the reason we lose the Tulane and Rice games is because we had little to no depth at certain positions, people play hurt and we get exposed. We got on a run at the end of the season and in the bowl because we got healthy and added the zone read. That simple.
TCU, A&M, and Cincy are the games we lose this season. UCF is going to be interesting at the end, but there just aren't a lot of good teams on the schedule. Houston will be better than last year, but not a real threat, and there are a ton of teams on the way down. Depth at OL, LB, CB, and S is going to make us more consistent, and the changes in the offense and progression of GG will up our offensive output.
Last year we averaged right at 30 points per game, but that was because of our defense. This year, our offense will average a legit 35. And the defense is good enough to translate that into quite a few wins.
UT will run away with the Big 12. They were way, way over-hyped last year for such a young team. This year they will be very good. OU, Baylor, TT, OKC, K State, WVU all have to re-load at the QB position.
I think TCU has a very good shot at finishing second in the big 12 next season.

We lost to Rice towards the end of the season. It was the second to the last regular season game. Is your so called run is 2 whole games? But I guess in your eyes the coaching in those games get zero responsibility for the losses in regards to how the coached the games.
I think TCU will challenge UT.
What do you think about Rutgers?

I believe Rutgers lost some secondary players and a WR but I am not sure about the rest of the team.
