As I say every year, wait until the end of the season to evaluate the program. If we lose to Montana state and still win 8 or 9 games it will still be a rip roaring success.

Didn't we play Stephan F Austin two years ago that was very highly ranked in the FBS?...it was no contest just like this one will be. The teams in the FBS have limited depth and not nearly enough talent to compete with even SMU at the D-1 level. This is a 3-4 TD win easy.

OK, highly unlikely but somewhat serious question for the group: what do we do about JJ if we are 3-1 in OOC this year, with the one loss being Montana St.? I know I have a better chance of winning the lottery and growing all my hair back than this scenario playing out, but just curious what the collective thinks about it.

He gets a pass for losing to MTSU if we run the gauntlet of Tech, Aggy, and FW Aggy.

I agree. What would we "do about JJ" 4 games into the season?

We can lose to MSU if we beat Aggy or Tech.

Yes - I WILL take that deal for a year or two.

Montana State is a legitimate opponent. I see an SMU win, but it will be a fight. It sounds like Montana State is solid.

I would hope that is a no brainer. If we were 3-1 and lost to Montana St. I would put it squarely on the players.

3-1 or 1-3, I couldn't care less as long as we win the conference.
