There are a million things to pick on June for, but saying that if only he recruited better we would have won 10 games his 2nd year is a reach.
He bet the farm on Bo Levi (June was the only person in FBS that wanted him) and lost so we rolled in another true freshman QB who June had to change the offense for and still ended up with 8 wins between the 2. Not really a reach to say we could have gotten 10 wins with better options at QB since we were pretty damn close to having 11 (3 losses by 9 points). As for growth potential, I don't think either guy he played that year had much (at least not to run the R&S at a high level) and it showed as both racked up the starts here (both eventually got benched).
