You, and every other pony fan I know. Would love to break those things out at some big game this year. Sadly, I don't think there's any chance of it happening.

Even if we played a no-name opponent, the SMU crowd usually shows up in decent numbers for the first home game of the season. I get sick of seeing the comments about how Tech will outnumber us, just like people said about any time we played TCU, aTm, etc. And sure enough, I've never seen a single pic of a big game with more opposing fans in Ford than SMU fans. Can we quit saying this already?
Have you ever seen the video where Tech fans are chanting across the stadium at each other? I believe the last time Tech played at SMU they might have outnumber SMU fans.
I wasn't at that game, so maybe there truly were more Tech fans than SMU fans. But the last TCU game I heard the same thing about how they were buying up all the tickets, and it would be a purple stadium, which ended up not being true.
I guess I just think that more than 15k SMU fans will come out for the home opener against an old SWC rival, and after a bowl (blowout) win over Fresno. Hope I'm right!
We were very smart/lucky for that TCU game, we scheduled Family weekend that weekend to ensure extra bodies, so probably an extra 8k in parents and family at that game.

Not to be confused w family weekend June's first year, memorialized by the d-lineman pick six in what was it the first quarter?

I'd be willing to bet than 90+% of people on the boulevard for the next game would not be able to tell you who we played in the Hawaii bowl last year.

Nobody "decided" on the whiteout - it's traditional!
That was supposed to be funny...right?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

OK, fine, so you agree/disagree that 15k SMU fans will come out for the home opener against SWC rival?

It could be 80% SMU fans and that might still be the case.
