If I wanted a shirt with a map of Texas on it, I would have gone to UT (where I would have thrown up every day when I saw the awful color of the uniforms).

I don't want Texas gear in SMU colors. I want SMU gear, and nothing else.

This stuff is o.k. I guess, not my cup of tea but think everyone has a right to make a go of it.

I just wouldn't personally buy anything for the purpose of wearing it to an SMU game that wasn't licensed by SMU and thus going back to supporting our athletic dept

I don't understand the allure of such products for SMU. SMU is much bigger than Texas.

Exactly. It works for UT, A&M, Tech, and to some extent TCU. We draw more students from out of state than Texas now (I think), and I don't think anyone associates SMU with the state of Texas like they do the aforementioned schools
