It's not dead yet, call, e-mail, tweet...write a letter...let your wants/needs be known to the University Athletics Committee.

I'll just kick back in my chair and enjoy the Coog Brew (special red beer, UH tradition) among the many other beers and liquors I can buy from the concession stand.

It seems they found the sale of beer might have a slight impact on attendance but are missing the bigger revenue opportunity (provided liability is covered) which could fund additional marketing options to fill the seats.

"Selling alcohol in Ford Stadium might have pulled a few fans off of the Boulevard and into the stadium, but SMU students should come support their team and alma mater regardless of what is sold in the stadium," said Tyler Scott, senior and Student Representative to the Athletics Committee of SMU Board of Trustees.
