I think Charlie Strong would be an excellent hire or Peterson.

As for a replacement, Saban is unrealistic. Maybe Austin hires Sumlin is an act of revenge. Now that's an interesting prospect so lets start this rumor now to worry the Aggies before we play them.
And of course Johnny FB will take 200 on line class hours and graduate after 2 years and forgo the NFL to spend another season with Sumlin at Texas.
The money badger would love that

Mack Brown replaced Diaz with Greg Robinson.
We Were Texas ‏@we_were_texas 3h
Robinson fun fact: after getting fired at Syracuse, Michigan hired Robinson as DC. In 2 seasons his defenses finished 82nd and 110th of 120

Rumors here in Dallas say who cares what happens in Austin

As a big Syracuse fan, I can say that Greg Robinson is one of the more worthless coaches I have witnessed in my day. Nice guy though with a [deleted] Vermeil-y personality.

All I did was respond to a post on ponyfans. Did you say anything to the original poster? Did you call Steve and tell him we are out of bounds on posting about UT on ponyfans? Have I violated rules that not read?

This year may be Mack's swan song. That BYU game was beyond embarrassing.
My prediction is Mack "retires" after this season. DeLoss will make a run at Fatterson but end up settling for Charlie Strong or James Franklin

I don't see why not.
Saban never stays put.
He could pretty easily perform another huge turn-around...this time in Austin.
It's always nice being the new savior.
Texas is not at all happy being upstaged by A&M & their "F-U-Texas" move to the SEC.
Current humbled UT fans could try & buy/reclaim what they think is their birthright.
I hope they don't get Saban, but wouldn't be surprised at what 100 million dollar enterprises are capable of pulling off.

Ha ha. Please tell me this is like an Onion article. I could have confirmed Saban was traveling to Texas late this week well over a year ago.
