We should have more talent than our 94 and 95 teams, but I think they played
a@m with more confidence than this current team will, the last time we played
at a@m we crapped our pants.

Talent Gap Is Bigger. The AQ vs. Non-AQ conference alignment has guaranteed that. It is the case across the board and not just with SMU unfortunately. I know TCU won before getting into the Big XII and we gotta do more of that, but we have to find a way into an AQ conference asap!

Just saying AAC doesn't look much stronger than many non AQ conferences. Looking at the A&M game now there appears to be a talent gap between them and Alabama.

We are marginally better than we were. They are enormously better. The gap is bigger.
