Do we seriously have Mustang fans publicly disrespecting their team in the name of "objectivity"? Thank the good Lord none of you are putting on the uniform on Saturday. I expect to win.

And I expect SMU to win the national championship this year and to get 100,000 fans at ford for our next game. Go team!

Spread seems about right but I'd go with the under. They beat a decent Rice team by 21 with several suspensions, and they beat a bad SHSU team by 37 but neither team scored in the fourth quarter.
However, SMU had a week off to prepare, is in good shape mentally (unlike UT), and hopefully Aggy is coming off a "moral victory" high. Also, hopefully this is K.C. Nlemchi's coming out party. Aggy's run D isn't good and you want to control clock.
Hoping for good special teams like last week and getting up early to make them come from behind. Gilbert has been very solid this year and won't be flustered by the crowd.

I don't think that was a "moral victory" for aTm. They wanted to win. It was somewhat of an emotional loss for them. Mike Evans could barely get through his post game interview.

Never had less faith in smu to pull one out. Even thought there was the slightest of chance against ND back in 1989.

I based it on the reactions of their fans on Texags. They seem pleased with the result and aren't talking about how they "can't win the big one." The players could take the #10 ranking as a challenge and know that if they run the table and Bama loses to LSU or Ole Miss at home, they...oh yeah, they still wouldn't go to the SEC title game unless they end up higher ranked than LSU and Bama. Bama has seven of the remaining nine games at home.
Jonathan Football is pretty amazing. I'd take it as a moral victory if he has to play into the fourth quarter to ice the win.
Sumlin doesn't run up the score like John Jenkins.

The fans might be taking it as an okay loss but the players took it hard emotionally and that is what counts. It will be tough for them to get over that by next week imo.

Step one is to not have this get out of control by halftime. Step two is not to get anyone injured. TCU is a far bigger game for us. This is a chance to show some spunk on national television. And, I agree with those that suggest our O is our sliver of hope. Manziel can't score on us from the sidelines. We need to play relaxed and have fun. It's not often they get to play in front of 85000 people.

We need to play to win. If we play to not lose by too much, we will get blown out of the stadium. I know it looks bleak, but you have to play with confidence and let the chips fall as they will. Are our chances very good?...no, but if you don't give it your all, you might as well not play the game at all.
