Duecetz - this is a discussion board and about another stadium. Ford is ok, just a wish it was double decked with better seats, thats it. Obviously not gonna happen. The new suites make it look a little better.

Ford is a good base to build upon.

Tell UP to go f-u-*-k themselves. Then demand a thank you letter for a century of consistent, rising property values. Then build whatever the hell stadium you want because you were here first.

Obviously the law doesn't work that way. But the world should. Sit on it and rotate, UP. We were here first, and you can thank the school for most of the delightful things you enjoy every day. Now shut up.

Correct. I love Ford but it's not tall enough. Compare it to USM's stadium which is roughly the same size (capacity is 36,000):

Of course, we have city codes to blame for that...but there's no reason why the east side can't be as tall as the west side press box.

We need to seat more people on the east side than we do, for TV purposes.
S Miss has more seats between the 20s than Ford. The problem is that if you sit outside of the 25 (esp. toward the goal line), you have to turn your neck to watch the game (like KYLE FIELD). It truly sucks.

Ford was built like Texas Stadium where the seats all face towards the central part of the field)

Boise has 36,XXX, looks a LOT bigger than that . It too has the S Miss straight line problem, but their end zones curl.

IF we ever expand with a deck, I hope they cantilever it (as least partial) rather than extend the east side up as a third row, as the drawings in SMUtoBCS.com suggested.

It's currently called Crusader Stadium but eventually in time I'm sure it will have Drayton McLane's (former owner of the Houston Astro's also donated the money for Baylor's new stadium) name on it. The school is the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, used to be the womens college for Baylor and was the first university established in Texas (or so they said at campus orientation).
