I've always thought the Craig James hooker thing was really childish and ill-advised. Yeah, he might be a [deleted] but spreading rumors around like that, as tongue-in-cheek as it might be, still isn't fair and reeks of the kind of BS that the sanctimonious Deadspin and others have unfortunately brought to society today. Why not just rip him for his role in the Leach thing and getting like 2% of the vote and leave it at that?

They are doing white and purple depending on what section you sit in.
Guess I'll just go with blue then.

They're doing a "colorblock" in alternating sections of purple and white. Instructions on campus and neighboring businesses.

Well, ponyfanman, I have to say that the first time I ran into this sort of thing was when my granddaughter who attends TCU (I have another that attends SMU!) came over to SMU to attend the football game about seven years ago, and there it was, so many people wearing it, the t-shirt that read "TCU SUCKS". Having a foot in both campuses, I don't think either of us can be proud of this sort of thing which, apparently, SMU started.

I didn't mind the shirts. Big time programs do a lot worse things than that.
When Chris Rainey at Florida sent him girlfriend a text that said "time to die" and got suspended for the Tennessee game, some UT fans had orange shirts made that said "Time to die" on the front and gave to proceeds to some domestic violence charity.

It started long before 7 years ago. The animosity started to heat up about the time of the breakup of the SWC. There were shirts, signs, and chants on both sides of this series dating back to the late 90s. This is far more of a rivalry than it was back in the SWC days of the 80s and early 90s.

Go sit in the student section at a Maryland b-ball game and report back to me if you think these shirts are offensive.
My guess is no.
I love good, old fashioned hatred.
