Uconn is pretty terrible. Actually, Uconn, temple and USF may be three of the worst teams in the county. We gotta get at least 4 (I still say 5).

Speaking of scheduling, I would have loved Houston's (not even mediocre) schedule this year. We would be 4-0 or 3-1 at worst (loss to Rice). I don't think they played a team rated above 100, and one below 200, except for Rice which is #75. And a bowling we would go for 5th straight. BTW under most scenarios above the Houston game may be for a bowl bid. Didn't we beat Tulsa at the end of last year for a bowl bid, so it's possible.

If we can stop making so many stupid mistakes, that would go a long way. Traylon Shead's return would also help. I had an uneasy feeling heading into this year and that has not changed. We really should be 0-4 right now. Got lucky against Montana St..

The really disappointing thing is that when jj came here we all expected a high-powered offense that would be entertaining. In his 6th year we are struggling to be competitive with lower level schools and not near being able to compete with our old SWC rivals let alone being a top 25-30 program.

More like 1-3 at worst, it's entirely possible we'd lose to Temple and UTSA on the road.

3-9....6-6....does it really matter? We have shown our worth against the only teams anyone cares about. I vote for whichever option prompts some change with the direction of this program, which I don't think will happen under current staff.

Rutgers game makes or breaks our season. Win this game and 6-6 is possible. Lose and I expect 3-9 with best chances for a W coming against Temple and UConn at home. Not sure this team is capable of beating anyone on the road

At this point the only thing that would matter is winning out (including BCS game).

A trip to a Nowhere Bowl would help hide our mediocrity...

We are back on the bottom 10 waiting list. Just like old times.

Bowl games mean jack squat these days except for the top 8-10 bowls.

Yeah that's the reason...

June always said he breaks the season into quarters to make it manageable for the players. He has a plan in his head to get to 6 wins. The first quarter was a 1-2 record (it had to be). He has to plan on this quarter going 2-1 (it has to be); I assume same goes for the second half of the season. 2-1 and 2-1. That is 7 wins. Maybe he thinks he can scrape by with 1 win in next two games.

Now, June had a similar plan last season and F'd it up by losing to Tulane, so this really means nothing.

You're right. And we all thought we would be 1-3. We didn't think it would be as ugly but the results are the same. We can play well, at times we have played very well and we have some players emerging. If we win the next two games and get to 3-3 it will be huge. It's time to get a streak (9 games please) going...
