It is a good idea. He is narrowing it down to 24 and will focus on those schools. It also allow others schools that offered who are not on the picture plenty time to go after someone else. Glad we are in his top 24 list.

Since he announced us in the first 8, does that mean we are a higher or lower seed in his tournament of thrones?

No particular order but usually a person likes who they put down first. We definitely don't want to be negative towards the young man because we want him to come to SMU.

No particular order but usually a person likes who they put down first. We definitely don't want to be negative towards the young man because we want him to come to SMU.

How is calling it the tournament of thrones being negative? I think it's an awesome title and play on a badasss tv for his selection process

Bump this thread because Elijah has officially taken it down to a final 10 - Oklahoma State, Texas and SMU locally. USC, Florida, Memphis, Oregon, Illinois, Ohio State and UNLV outside of Texas.

Wish he would hurry up and commit already. Would love to have him and Gilder here.

You have the eye roll guy, but it's actually a good idea. Each week over six weeks he could have a round of "games". It themes nicely with March Madness.

That would be incredibly vain, but I would love to see someone do it because it would also (and most importantly) be highly entertaining.

I think its too early for in home visit-I believe you have to be a Senior. Too much is made of in home visits anyway. That's about 5% of the recruiting process

I think he's honestly waiting on all the TX guys. We need to get them all: Davis, Thomas, Hogg, Gilder. If Mitchell and McQuaid want in, we'll make room for them, too. These guys plus Barefield and a very experienced B. Moore and Sterling Brown would be deadly.
