If Rutgers is so bad, how come they beat Arkansas?

'cause arky is worse.

Arkansas was playing with a 3rd team QB. Arkansas allowed a punt return for a TD and another inside the red zone. Arkansas stopped Rutgers on a 3rd and 22 when Arkansas was 17 points ahead but had a stupid late hit out of bounds giving Rutgers a first down. This was either late 3rd or early 4th quarter. Rutgers did not beat Arkansas. Arkansas beat themselves.

And, Arkansas is not that good this year although they are improving every week.

Wow, is that the official story Razorback supporters are repeating? How do they keep all those excuses in order?

I do not believe there is a single "excuse" in there. The QB thing is true. The rest is just stupid play by Arkansas. If they had their regular starting QB I do not think there is a question Arkansas would have won the game. Rutgers is not that good and that is why I had predicted us to do well and said I thought we would win. I just did not think we would wait until the 4th quarter to wake up.

If you want Arkansas excuses you need to go to their game with Florida. They had a interference with the right to make a fair catch call go against them. I have to admit that I thought the call was wrong but the next day the officials explained the rule and the call was right. No one here cares. Even though the call was right, it should not have been called, Florida should not have gotten yards via penalty and of course then Arkansas would have won instead of having their brains beaten in as they did.

Very rarely does Arkansas ever lose a game that was not the officials' fault. But they laid the blame on lack of QB with Rutgers, and I think rightly so. The one they had as back up was really not very good. But they got back in sync with Florida. What is funny is to hear the only notable, although pretty bad, sports newspaper reporter getting on the officials for the call at Florida. He admits that it was the right call after explanation but then says that they should not have called it anyway and it was the turning point of the game.

SMU softened Rutgers up for Louisville. . . 17-0 Louisville with 8 minutes in the 2nd qtr

This game is becoming a rout.

Rutgers is garbage... they beat a sad pathetic texas team because we have a lousy coach... its sad they couldnt put a game away when up like 2-3 touchdowns.. Score for RU and Louis: 70-14, Louisville.

Rutgers secondary is beyond suspect as I pointed out well before this last weekend.

O'Korn is going to have a field day against this mediocre secondary and our defense is going to get some crazy turnovers. Can't wait to embarrass them in a few weeks.
