SID, can we fix this?

I' m not sure why you think this is an issue for the SID since this is a non-SMU website? Though, it would be good for the players to refer to SMU the same way. I guess it isn't training camp dinner conversation...

However, the school has always requested the use of "SMU" when referring to their athletic teams rather than "Southern Methodist." I just think there are some publications that choose not to honor that request for whatever reason.

You can search the football forum for "SMU vs. Southern Methodist" for the previous discussion...

i think it is up to the SID to bug people to death until they change it. They should have their little form letter that they keep handy so they can send it out each and every time they see an infraction - even if it is every week. Just wear them down.

an intern can do that while we here on PF solve all the big problems.
