I get that nobody else has had a lot of success moving the ball against Memphis, and we did. Houston really struggled with them at home last week.
This was a blowout win, and we were good enough to win even though we gave up three special teams/defensive touchdowns.
We were a bad team in the second half against TCU (offense bad most of the game), We were a bad team for the first three quarters against Rutgers, and a bad team in the fourth against Memphis. So, we are at least cutting down the length of the game we are bad for

. Hopefully we can put together a complete game against Temple and then have confidence going into the Cincy game.
FYI - to me, this was like Tulane/Rice last year where we lost on the road to bad teams. Glad we at least won this one.

Since we only score 3 points the entire second half it could be argued that we were a bad team the entire second half.

As I continue my crusade against the sunshiners, I will say again and again, we are at best a 1 half team. If we play a half-way decent team (that is not including Rutgers) we are at best, a 10 play team. We need someone who can bring the competitive spirit like O'Leary (UCF) and a long-term success coach (Patterson). If these two teams can do it with less to offer (education, location, prestigious alumni connection), then for goodness sake's we surely can. We cannot accept mediocrity anymore, I hope to God turner and hart have a short term and long term plan to get us there. If they don't, then some high level changes need to be made.

Just remember, when you lose in 3 overtimes nothing matters but the loss, but when you win a conference game on the road against a team that was favored to beat you, all that matters is that you looked bad in the second half, the other team was terrible and you let them come back even though they were never within 1 score until there was no time left on the clock.
