Attendance

Re: Attendance
It was just two seasons ago that So Miss beat Case K and UH for the Conference Title and squashed any Heisman hopes for Case and BCS buster for UH. Either Ferona knew the cupboard was bear when he bolted for UNC, or he was one heck of a coach (he is a good coach). Hard to believe he left them that dry in the talent department.
Joe Montana's son is having a nice year for Tulane .. and is making a difference.

Re: Attendance
Many of us on this board have wanted to play UNT for the possible boost in attendance. I hope they continue to win since we will be playing them in the future. I look for a much better visitor attendance from them than Rice, Houston, and the new AAC foes.

Re: Attendance
I thought this thread was going to be about our estimated attendance figures for this bye week. I think attendance at Ford will be slightly down this week

At least we can't blame them for being on the blvd and not coming into Ford.Charleston Pony wrote:I thought this thread was going to be about our estimated attendance figures for this bye week. I think attendance at Ford will be slightly down this week

They can both take pride in the fact they outdrew ASU-WSU (20K+).blackoutpony wrote:ohhhhhhhh sh@@@@@@tttttttttttts about to go downCA Mustang wrote:According to the box scores:AusTxPony wrote:Did North Texas out draw UH tonight? UNT had 22,000 or so. UH looked very light. Didn't see the official.
UH - 22,707
UNT - 22,835
CK and MGE can argue as to the validity and implications.
Of course an indoor game in Houston and an outdoor game in Denton are a bit different than an outdoor game in Pullman, WA.

Re: Attendance
who can forget that Thursday night game SMU played against Fresno at the Cotton Bowl in front of about 6,000? Yes, I was impressed by the 22k that both Houston and UNT drew on a weeknight...but they do have much larger student populations and the kids have to do something before hitting the bars for an attempted late night score

That "someone" of which you speak can't resist hammering the Mustangs, and he
also really LOVES the frogs, cows, and raiders.
Re: Attendance
we need more attendance threads, they are so fun!!!

Re: Attendance
Gets old, dragging out the record books over and over again to prove we suck and have sucked for 25 years. Complaining hasn't done much good has it? I started this thread to point out the improvement in UNT attendance which might help our numbers when we play. That's all, not as an invitation to many to beat up on SMU attendance or rather lack thereof, yet again and again and again.......
