There are actually people on this board who would root for UCF in that game solely because they despise JJ so much. Sad.

Pay or play? Either way, you might be right. Anything could happen though.

I think we should worry about Cincy right now. They're a good team.
Two team tie breaker is head to head first and then bcs standings if the two did not play.

This thread will be useless if SMU loses to Cincy especially considering that none of their games are a gimmie by any means.

You have to pull your (much harder) end of the bargain, chief.

No games are gimmie with our consistency(playing one half of football per game).

So UH sneaks past one of the absolute worst teams in college football and now they're going to go on the road and take care of business against Louisville and UCF. lol.

Yeah, CK, now you understand college football...no game is a gimme. Proved over and over again with amazing constancy.

There are a lot of fun scenarios we can play with SMU (win out, go to a BCS and get creamed; win out, go to a BCS and win and we are back on the national stage; squeak to a 6-6 season and another minor bowl and win big; squeak to a 6-6 season go to another minor bowl and lose). Bottom line: we lose to Cincy, the season is pretty much over. So, as I've said, Cincy is our Super Bowl. We need to play like we are in the Hawaii Bowl next weekend. I, for one, am pulling for a blowout against Cincy to show everyone that we are for real and we have this thing rolling now (play for a 4 full quarters and we do that - in fact, I don't see anyone on our schedule that beats us, although UCF looks like they could play with anyone right now and hang).

It is actually more important for SMU's BCS path for UH to beat Lou than for SMU to beat CIN.
There are realistic scenarios where SMU could lose to CIN and still make BCS by beating UH and UCF.
I think that if UH loses to LOU, there is no chance.
I base this on the assumption that LOU will beat CIN and Memphis.

So we're depending on two things with very little likelihood of happening? What a great model for success.

The Mind of too Many Ponyfans: If we raised the number of AAC teams ranked above 100 in computer bowls from 4 to about 8 then we'd have a great shot at the BCS. How about instead we build a program worthy of earning true BCS respect
