Ding Ding Ding - we have a winner.

If Fear the Horse is a slogan for SMU, it will save me sooooooo much money. No Mustang Club, No Season Tickets, No Parking Pass, etc. I would drop ALL support.

We also need to stop using "Ponies or Pony". We need something mean, nasty, tough.
Ponies are cool. Peruna's my brony.

Agree 100%! It's annoying when trying to look up scores and betting lines that they put us under Southern Methodist instead of SMU!

If we would beat the crap out of some decent teams on a regular basis it wouldn't matter what you call your team. Frogs are not by nature mean, tough or nasty...OK, they are nasty, but the fear is because they have been beating up on good teams. A couple of more years like this one and their slogan will go away. Actually I try to use our real name...MUSTANGS...as much as possible, but I don't have a problem with "ponies" since it is a term of endearment we use because we love our Mustangs. 8)

So you prefer we keep "Pony" and all these references that make us a joke to all the other schools in Texas, so we can keep having 10k fans show up at each game, instead of building a cool, fresh and sexy brand for our program that will draw the community, local high schools, churches, alumni and our apathetic students to feel proud of their school to come to game day and get to 30k fans on average or more?!?!?! If we are trading the existing 10k or less for 30k or more new fans...I don't see that as a bad deal!
I said STOP using Pony or Ponies.

We can't change the name of the website now - too much brand recognition would be thrown away.

I'm glad we have both football and BB games coming up fast.
