CP,

I think 'Hate' is the wrong word here, 'Frustration' is more accurate.

JJ will most likely end his career here at SMU with a 6-31 record against teams with winning records. It will be something like 3-15 vs OOC and 3-16 vs conference opponents.

He will almost have as many victories against D2a teams (5) as he will against teams with winning records (6).

The average ranking of the teams he will have defeated will be between #105-#110 per Sagarin.

All this within the context of him being the most highly paid non-BCS coach during this time frame and I am sure anyone can understand our 'Frustration'. I personally never remember much 'Hate', if any.

But since you brought up 'Hate', in the past 6 years, one of the most hateful remarks I recall came from his own 17 year-old son (he might have been 18 at the time, we didn't know).

Ok, since the administration seems to be ok with settling for mediocrity, wouldn't it have been a better idea to stay in C-USA and be a winning team (look at the current leaders). Not making changes, ala USC style, says they are content with the state of our program.

I hate where our program is right now. Yes, the dark days are behind us, for now... but damn it, I want more.

Not sure that would help. We would have to beat Rice, Tulane. And Tulsa. When is the last time we beat those three I the same year.

Not hate........just disappointment and dismay.

I decided to be a good SMU fan on Saturday and attend the Houston SMU Alumni game-watch party, about which I had been sent numerous e-mails. I put on my blue SMU shirt and hat and drove the 32 miles into town. After having my car valet parked (mandatory), I went into the announced venue, J. Black's. I asked the greeter for the location of the SMU group, and she looked clueless; there was no one from SMU there, except me. I decided to make the best of it, thinking I would get breakfast and a bloody Mary and watch the game. Major problem: They didn't have the game on TV. Damn. Should I have RSVP'd for the event?

Did I mention TCU had their game-watch party there, too? I think they had about fifteen (+/-) people (kind of sad), but they did have their game on TV.

I have complained a lot about the offense the past few years but I think there are a lot of positives. for the first time our offense looks like what many envisioned when JJ came here...a good qb flinging it around to numerous receivers. Just happens to be a down year on defense and a young o line but if we recruit future looks exciting. And the head coach dresses like a leader now instead of a laid- back senior citizen in Hawaii waiting for a time share presentation. Perception is....

I remember when his son came on ponyfans and the hateful disgusting things he said his family spews within the JJ household. after that, I could never support JJ.

- thinking of what could have been, had JJ had a passion and fire to build on the success he created during his first few years.
- that our football HC has no SMU spirit, and if he does, he internalizes it very well
- the cartel that is the NCAA

football schools I really dislike and want to see lose every time:
- UT and Michigan (both large public schools with huge entitlement issues). Mostly, UT though. Ironically, I do think they are good academic schools (mostly at the graduate level), but too large and too many [deleted] to be around

schools I dislike (want to see them lose everytime and twice on Saturdays), and which I have 0 respect for
- Penn State - don't need to spell out the reason
- A&M - see UT but with no respect for their academics
- TCwhoo - there is nothing about this school I like, and there is nothing in this school I respect (except for the fact they got their act together in football, of course, while we sit on our hands)

Can we add Ohio State to the list of entitled prigs? After that moronic "little sisters of the poor" statement, I have to add them to the hate list.
