This is not true in the AAC. 1 great recruit will get you middle of the road status because everyone is getting highly regarded players. Hoops needs several good players to really contend. That is a myth perpetuated to defend themselves. Also as Stallion said we have not lost any more players than any other school due to academics. If you had said that academic support for FB players was lacking, I might have actually listened. But the fact is we are recruiting on a level playing field with just about any program.
The lack of fan support I cannot argue with - and I'm sure that does affect recruiting in a very negative way.
Lack of support from the faculty and staff toward any program is no longer an excuse. Cedar Hill coach said that he had not seen June in years.
