Wow what a crazy final three minutes...go Rice!

Boswell missed it in a swirling wind from 48. He's the guy that routinely nails 50 yarders against SMU. I think he may have record for 50+ FGs

Impressive. Terrible stadium but big crowds.

Have you ever been there? Its kind of tinkerbox but I kind of like it. Best atmosphere in our conference next to Louisville who is leaving-I was really impressed by UCF when I went to CUSA Championship. ECU has a good fan following next year. UCF is miles ahead of SMU-they have just about all the boxes checked off for expansion-we are definitely behind UCF in any pecking order to move up.

I went to the Championship game there. Thought the stadium looked cheap and soulless. But put a big crowd in any stadium and you can get a great atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, I am very impressed with UCF as a program but their stadium has no architectural features at all. There are no aesthetics to it. It is just metal bleachers to the sky.

And I agree that they are well ahead of us across the board. But they are a large state school in a populous state. That's an advantage.

which again is an excuse nobody cares about with regard to expansion. If SMU is serious about moving up we are going to have to overachieve in all applicable areas like TCU

We could play in a cow pasture for all I care if we routinely had 50 thousand people at each game and a good atmosphere.

We'll see if the Ford magic continues but I can't see how we hang within 21-28 pts of UCF. They are going to run through our D like butter.

Watching this one tonight makes me once again lament the loss to Rutgers. We should have won that one. It's always awkward to criticize a team that beat you, but Rutgers looks like they have really backslid over the course of this season. Big 10 football has rightfully been criticized recently, but it is still a definite step up from AAC football. And Rutgers looks woefully unprepared to make that leap.
