Well I guess 6-6 would be mediocre to some degree because it is not a winning season.

If GG is out, 6-6 would be a rip-roaring success.

True true. However being average is being mediocre to my standards lol

I would say disappointing in a different context.

Disappointing that we didn't see more of 43 at safety, frosh corners alternating with Parks, and didn't see more Minor. Because we know the current group of starters on defense is going to struggle a bit against Houston and UCF.

I think Burcham is going to be a really good quarterback, but his lack of strength and mobility is going to really hurt him in the next two games.

Not really. Maybe to you but Burcham has been in the system long enough to do well.

I tend to agree, but we have two tough games left, notice he has 4 preseason a games under his belt :)

Assuming GG won't play, I pray GG will be ready to go because Neal is nowhere near ready. Don't get me wrong, he has potential but he doesn't have the smarts, mobility, and strength to win the next two games.

How well do you know him? Must be pretty close to him to know his football smarts. Does he drool when he talks. What were his SATs? Does he have all of his teeth? Please admit you do not know anything about him other than what you saw tonight in a forced duty when he was not expecting to play. Let him prepare and lets see how he does before people like you who know nothing about him make judgment.

SMU is like the Cowboys right now. Good enough to go .500 repeatedly but not good enough to take the next step up or suck so bad you are forced to make drastic changes. Instead its just the dreaded cycle of mediocrity. For instance, I'd rather TCU not go to a bowl at 6-6 and make significant changes so we can shoot for much higher goals next year.

This guy gets it. Mediocrity is a fool's reward.

Just watch the game, he doesn't think before he throws which is evidenced by his performance during the game where he threw couple of times into enemy's hands. GG's int was a WR's error of bobbling into the defender's hands. I figure people would use a common sense approach to when someone says "smarts" in the context of football. Just in case, I'm not referring to one's SAT scores or his physical appearance. You are correct that he needs preparation and I make that concurring opinion by my "judgement."

Tough to remember an uglier win of the JJ era. That was just a brutal game to watch.

I will gladly take 6-6 or 7-5 with a bowl game followed by drastic changes to our recruiting.
