are we getting paid for them using our logo/team name?

How long have you been an SMU fan (Cougar King)? This is an old topic that SMU fans are well aware of.

You mean the 20 smu fans on this board are aware of? Ask the students in the boulevard if they are aware/give a (gary patterson) about this...

I agree FTHP, some of you more experienced fans need to take a chill pill and understand that the new fans, young Alumni and new students are relatively new to all of this. We need them all, we need to welcome them.

These Newbies are not picking fights, they are just sometimes ignorant, and that is fairly apparent some times, but that's no reason to run them off.

Some of you have been pretty damn mean on here lately.

I, as a 1989 SMU grad appreciate all new fans. I was a fan since the early to mid 1970's when my Daddy was a professor at SMU.
I LOVE SMU!

I think FTHP is just young, and unaware of everything SMU, perhaps a bit uhhh... n/m.

But he/she still makes a valid point; I'll summarize.

There's a bunch of angry [deleted] bags on these boards.

The quoted portion is true of you. It is not true of fthp.

Come on I'm not picking any fights with anyone. I am the main advocate in wanting this program to grow! We need fans and we need everyone to learn about our program and traditions.

I don't know every single detail in the program's history, only enough. I am post DP (class of '11)

If you want to learn about SMU and its history, then just shut up and read the boards. Don't go clamoring for attention by posting stupid things. You'll get [deleted] on for it and rightfully so. I lurked on the boards for a year before I ever made an account. Just by reading what the old timers post you will learn A LOT about SMU and its past. I know I have.

Over time, most any question you have will be answered. Seriously. And when you don't go starting a thousand threads about nothing and stuff that most are already aware of, people will be more apt to answer your questions in a non-shatting on you way.

I know most everyone is our generation is all "ME ME ME" and "NOW NOW NOW", but just sit back, take a chill pill, and learn. Heaven forbid we actually take time to learn something or acquire a new skill set nowadays.

This post is filled with truth. I have to agree with every single point (not being sarcastic).
