Re: SMU Bowl Predictions
UCF is kind of hard to read. On one hand, the Knights hammered Akron, Florida International and UConn. On the other hand, they squeaked by Memphis, Temple and USF.

High of 35 on Saturday. We're not a cold weather team, but we should be more used to it than they are.
Freezing temps, 11am kickoff, road game, nothing to play for, probably a 2/3 empty stadium. I'd like to think they come out flat and we come out fired up w/ something to prove.

Some selective memory you have. UCF plays to their competition. Earlier in the season they beat a pretty good Penn State team, who just recently knocked off #15 Wisconsin. They also beat #8 Louisville and were unlucky to lose to #12 South Carolina.

I've not seen us come out fired this year, at least what I would consider fired up. Would love to see that, but I'm affraid we are heaeded for the toilet bowl this year.

CFU is good but not unbeatable. This SMU team is similar to past Jones SMU teams. So unpredictable, even during the same game...see TCU first half vs second half. Just when you think they are hopeless and don't care, they come back with a big win like Tulsa last year and the Hawaii Bowl wins. Why not? A CFU playing on the road in front of a small Dallas crowd with no emotion....SMU players are used to it but visiting teams who come in to Ford aren't!

31 degrees at kickoff...no telling what the wind chill will be.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Its a secret plot by the AAC. They substitute CFU for UCF. SMU beats CFU and goes to a bowl. UCF remains unbeaten in conference and goes to BCS bowel.

They also beat Penn State and Louisville. And they gave South Carolina all they wanted.
