Thought I heard on the radio this morning that The Pirate may have something to do with where he ends up....is he "waving his sword" at his previous employer ?

He's more than welcome to join the Big East though...I'm sure we can set him up with a nice scholly and make him our starter for 2015...

Just a quick point - we are in the American Conference (AAC) - not Big East.

As per the DMN:
Texas Tech can only block scholarship offers. Mayfield can choose anywhere he wants -- even a Big 12 school -- if he chooses to walk on again.

If he has a good offer he can immediately transfer and take part of speing proctice and fall practice and learn the offense. If he goes JUCO he will lose a year in learning the offense and is gambling that he doesn't get hurt and sucks at the JUCO or doesn't start at JUCO. The only reason to go to JUCO would be if he doesn't have any good offers. Big Mistake going to JUCO in this situation otherwise
