What's the logic behind that?

My guess is that they get those listings from a content provider and the provider does not include ESPN News because ESPN News did not traditionally broadcast games. You would think someone at the dmn would have figured out to check since this is the second time it has happened.

I can watch SMU bball w/a basic cable subscription and the game is in HD. Not complaining.

We are getting better exposure than the Big 12 right now. Texas vs. Baylor was on ESPN 3 yesterday. A lot of the SEC and Big 12 games are just on ESPN 3 while all of ours are on national TV.

How hard is it to look up the ESPN listings if you are a sports editor. Don they have a dozen or so interns with nothing to do down there? Come DMN - get your act together.

I'll take it. After years of watching crummy webcast of games, I will take a broadcast game even if it's not on the main channels.

I wish the D.M.N. would list them.

DMN's anti SMU policy has been going on for generations. Now DMN is becoming more irrelevant than they believe we are. I doubt that too many people actually rely on them for this kind of information.

I agree that the ESPN channels blur together, at least they do for me on Uverse. Also, I've had multiple people not affiliated or fans of SMU mention they watched the game (even a few women). Exposure is so much better this year.

I have always thought it was kind of strange that they had this attitude toward SMU. IIRC a phi delt from SMU married one of Belo's daughters and was in an executive position at the DMN for some time.

Depending on where you live it's also better than much of the SEC's coverage.

A lot of SEC games are shown on CSS (Comcast Sports Southeast) which isn't even available in most towns and cities in the SEC's footprint. Fortunately, that will change next year with the SECNetwork.
