Who knows, maybe Houston and Tulsa will step it up. But it's looking more and more like Cinci, SMU, UConn and Memphis will be running this conference from the basketball side and it's a considerable drop off after that. Houston has a chance though to get back to the Phi Slama Jama days.

Cincinnati, UConn, Memphis and SMU is a good core. Although Memphis, UC and UConn will be a bit down next year. Temple should get back to tournament quality and if Anthony Collins stays healthy, USF is a post season quality team as well.

As for the bottom of the league, I don't know how the language filters work so I'm not going to comment...I'll just say, I hope we aren't in this conference a few years from now.

Don't really see it happening so SMU better get its football house in order and help build AAC.

I had never seen how the court looked, but the fans being that close right behind the bench isn't what I've been used to seeing in the Big East. It reminded me of the old Charlotte arena in the 90's when the students would just sit behind the bench and yell in Huggins face for 40 minutes. Seems like it is just begging for an incident to occur, very amateur...

Your team is very good though, they do an amazing job of packing the paint and forcing you to hit jump shots (remind me of a better Xavier). I think it was clear that SMU wasn't going to be denied tonight, just one of those amazing nights.

Considering I didn't know if this Cincinnati team would even make the tournament, I am absolutely thrilled to be 22-3 and 11-1 in the conference. You'll have to wait til next year to get your first meaningful basketball banner...

Can you not read? I said over the course of the two games I think we showed we're the better team. This team was not ranked that had overachieved. Good for you. I think it helps to have a good cincy team in the conference but it is not a top 7 team. We're not either and in a neutral place we win.

Now your true colors are showing. If you need a Kleenex just ask your coach where he keeps his supply.
